After the AGM at about 8.15 pm (open to non-members) there will be an illustrated talk presented by Karen Adams
“HOWDEN BISHOPS’ PALACE..
..COMMUNITY DIG UPDATE”
A community dig was undertaken in 2018 and 2019 to find remains of the east wing buildings associated with the Bishop of Durham’s Palace at Howden. This talk looks at the discoveries made and how they relate to the surviving documentary evidence from the 16th century.
