Selby Civic Society’s is pleased to be able to resume “normal” face-to-face meetings in Portholme Church.

COVID regulations have been relaxed by the Government. However, we are recommending some personal precautions – please wear a mask if you are able to; use hand sanitation gels; socially distance where possible. Please do not attend if you have COVID symptoms or a recent positive lateral flow test.

Housing schemes at Port Sunlight, New Earswick and Bourneville occurred alongside the pioneering work of Ebenezer Howard, which resulted in the creation of the Garden City Movement. Today there is a resurgence in new town building following the model of Cadbury and Rowntree.
