Selby Civic Society are excited to co-host this event with local modellers, led by Dr Renny Lord.
The exhibition, taking place in Selby Abbey, will be open on Friday 9th and Saturday 10th October 2026 between 10am and 3.30pm. Entry is free.
The modellers have spent the past few years building a spectacular 0-gauge model railway layout which features Selby railway station and swing bridge, set between 1924 and 1939.
When Dr Renny Lord approached the Civic Society to help co-host this event we could immediately see how interesting this would be, both in terms of the history of Selby, and what an appealing event for anyone who likes a model railway.
We were therefore more than happy to get involved.
Members of Selby Civic Society will also be on hand at the event to give information about the history of Selby.
