Our next meeting on Thursday 20th July will be a talk about “Selby Abbey’s Hill Organ and its Restoration.” The organ restorer Geoffrey Coffin will be joined by Selby Abbey’s organist and Director Of Music, Oliver Waterer, and John Engelhart of Selby Abbey Trustees, for this presentation – a great opportunity to hear both the story of the organ and the famous instrument operating in all its glory.
Originally advertised for a start at 7.30pm, please note that the meeting in SELBY ABBEY will start at the revised time of 4.00 pm with entry from 3.45pm. Please use the South Door (opposite Selby Park) to enter.
Usual charges apply (£2/£5 for members/non-members) and we’ll be making a donation to Selby Abbey in support of their organ recital events.
